Since man does not have the natural ability to govern themselves socially, mans Natural Passions set forth the evolution of Commonwealth
change this word. man and mans doesn't sound good. is MANS even a word?
Hobbes describes the actions of the ants and bees, which abide by the Laws of Nature, and then contrasted their actions with the actions of man, which violate the Laws of Nature.
there is a present tense and then a past tense thingy going on here.
Hobbes wrote that these animals, unlike man, show signs of equity in that they do not place themselves in competition with one another.

Commonwealth is the most naturally suitable form of government for man because it is an adaptation formed from the sacrifice of mans Natural Passions, which kept him from abiding the Laws of Nature. Since men cannot naturally govern themselves socially, they created a man made covenant by reaching an understanding that everyman is equal, except he who is sovereign. And he who is sovereign naturally remains loyal to his subjects due to the intense responsibility given to him, which creates the balance needed for a self-governing civilization.
this last paragraph does a really good job of summing up everything. i mean, this could be your whole paper right here. i hate college. why do you go to it? it makes no sense. i am way too out of it to write anything like this, it would drive me crazy. its like the teacher is just torturing you. if you get "commonwealth" then you get it. why do you need to turn in some quotes from some dead asshole? this isnt a philosophy class.
